SOCIETY SAYS THANKS

Community supports

Dear Editor:

On behalf of Capilano Com-
munity Services Society, 1 would
like to say thank you for the strong
support given the Capilano Youth
Project. The community's
generous response to funding ap-
peals has made it possible for us to
provide a range of spccial services
to young people on the North
Shore.

Since April 1987 some of the
programs that have been provided

included a drop-in centre for teens
at the William Griffin Centre,
lifeskill, workshops on drug and
alcohol abuse and peer counsell-
ing. In cooperation with the North
Vancouver Recreation Centre we
have also been able to provide rec-
teation and social activities at the
centre.

Feedback from the community
indicates that this project is serving
a useful purpose and should con-
tinue for North Shore teens. Fun-
