POPPIES WILL be on sale Nov. 5, 6 and 7 as
members of the Royal Canadian Legion, assisted by
Unit 45 Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in
Canada, take to the streets and shopping mills.

Money raised from the poppy sales goes to aid
needy veterans and their dependants. Funds collected
on the North Shore are used in the community to
assist with anything from medical equipment and food
to emergency repairs.

Ladies Auxiliars members will be calling on stores
and hisinesses to request they display a wreath in

their windows and make a donation to the fund.

The North Vancouver Veterans Council is also
sponsoring its annual pre-Armisiice Day church
parade on Sunday, Nov. 1. at St. John’s Anglican
Church, 220 West &th St.

Fall in is at 9:30 a.m. with the service at 10 a.m.
Rev. Raymond Murrin is the officiatirg clergyman.

The Lower Mainland Colour Party will join the
parade. Bert Williams, branch 114 Royal Canadian
Legion, will be sereeant-at-arms.
