North Vancouver School Board is going ahead with its own modified version of the new Deep Cove School in defiance of “subver- sive elements on the District council” that had appeared to have canned the proposal. Trustees declared at their Tuesday meeting that a new school is in the best interests of the Cove. And with the exception of trustee David Craig, the board agreed to build an annex to Burrard View School which will in effect be the first stage of a new school. It will be built on existing school board land already under the required public assembly zoning.
