Smaller vote favors left

Dear Editor:

North Vancouver had a voter
turnout of over 70 per cent of res-
idents to re-elec: the two Social
Credit incumbents. It is therefore a
puzzle to me why only 25 per cent
of the residents purticipated in the
local election of our district coun-
cil and school board.

The smaller vote is not necessar-
ily representative of the 75 per cent
who stayed home and in my view

select their school board trustees

residents must get out and vote to
rid themselves of those who have
