Options for
volunteers

VOLUNTEERS of all ages are
needed — from mature
twelve-year-olds to young
eighty-year-olds.

The following are a few of
the many opportunities
available:

DELIVER MEALS and
make brief. visits to elderly
shut-ins. Volunteer would have
flexibility. A car is required.

PUBLIC RELATIONS EX-
PERTISE for committee
membership and tasks. Ideas
and leg work are needed. Seek
people with graphics, public
speaking, or marketing abilities.

VISITING SHOPPER is
desired by seniors in West or
North Vancouver. Clients are
shut-in’ and require weekly
assistance for approximately
two hours, Minimal commit-
ment, maximum satisfaction.

DRIVE TO ONTARIO with
two aduit handicapped males.
Juiy 30 to beginning of
September. Assistance will be
required with driving and the
volunteer will be required to do
the cooking. Expenses will be
fully paid and sightseeing is on
the agenda. Person must be ex-
tremely reliable.

WHEELCHAIR PUSHERS
are always required for seniors
or blind/ partially blind people
who want to visit Expo, Suit-
able for those with season's
pass.

DAY CAMP AIDES for
North Vancouver or West Van-
couver camps which run from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday tu Fri-
day, featuring sports, beach
trips and various outings, arts
and crafts programs, etc. Suit-
able for :nsture 12-year-olds.

JOIN A TEAM of volunteers
in hosz-ital visiting Tuesdays or
Wednesday evenings for two
hours. If you have an interest in
the elderly and are of a cheerful
disposition, then this is an op-
postunity to give a helping
hand.
