Van. 984-3555 y O® Beam of Cnada inc, 12/99 JUDGEMENT arises only if we are looking at a person’s body, per- sonality (persona/not- self/mask) or so-called “mistakes” (as we per- ceive them to be). If we look beyond all that to the person’s essence and various gifts and to what is likeable about them, our judgement will fall away (and, also, we will feel better). If we look to what we appreciate, our judgement will simply not hoid up. A judge- ment is always a doubie-edged sword thar we employ to attack the “other” as we attack ourselves. Imagine you are looking past the person’s body, per- sonality and “mistakes” (Bil Gates, for example) to what you can appreciate about them. Then, look beyond that. Look beyond their gifts to the place inside them where their light shines. Be there before that light for a moment. You cannar judge them when you !ook at their light. To see their light is to liberate yourself. When we judge we are stuck with what we have judged. Judgement gives us a sense of being right, but it docs not move us forward. . An affirmation might be: “TL hope I’m wrong, because if I'm nghs, this is what I get!” Your willingness to be wrong allows things to keep moving forward. Your willing- ness nor to know all of the answers means you could be _ taught something. If you are a full glass of water, nothing can be poured into you. Your judgement says, “Nothing can be taught to me. [ kave all the answers, and I am stuck.” But your willingness to give up your judgement and recognize that there may be more to this situation than meets your eye, allows you to look with a greater perspective and to be shown the way in the situation. If you have the answer, you cannot be taught, and there is always something to learn (Bill will provide the soft- ware.) As Spezzano writes in, “If It Hurts, It Isn’t Love”: See what you are judging that you are stuck with and be willing to let it go. Imagine you placed your judgement on a little boat that went down a swift river, flowing out to sea and moving out of your mind. There, coming towards you, is the answer, the next step in the situation. Only when you Jer go of the little boar of your own judgement can your ship Cal’ SPORT Chek's Jamie Quong, 18, has supplied the following list of a snowboarder’s pei peeves: 1. beginners 2. ice 3. cold feet 4, flat greund come in.
