Cal’s book which was primarily written to evangelize to members of AA was in effect Derek's own story. Sober through AA in 1981 and bor again in 1991, Casey Joos, Derek's step-son had wanted to get into business for sometime. Casey was convinced, Derek being a Chartered Accountant and having had a successful collector plate business could reach him the ropes.
