THE HARMONY Arts Festival is looking for information-booth attendants and creative kids’ day volunteers. The festival runs from Monday, Aug. 10 tc Sunday, Aug. 16. The hours are flexible and orientation will be provided. A VOLUNTEER is needed to work with a woman who leads a support group for battered women. The group meetings run for 10 weeks at a time, year- round. Training will be provided. POSITIVE, outgoing role models are needed to work on a “one-to-one basis with young of- fenders and involve them in community activities. Volunteers are needed for three hours per week in the evenings or on weekends. A PLEDGE centre is asking for people to work as telethon volun- teers for Sunday, Sept. 6 and Monday, Sept. 7. Several shifts are available. FRIENDLY, responsible people are needed to sell car raffle tickets at various locations on the North Shore. Proceeds will aid ex- psychiatric patients. The hours are flexible and orientation will be provided. A VISITOR who speaks Polish is wanted to visit some seniors who would enjoy speaking with someone in their native tonguc. The hours are flexible. SUPPORT group facilitators are wanted to work with special- needs adoptive parents in the community.
