was obsolete and. that, to
survive, the Ford Motor
Company had to design and
build a more modern car.

Mr. Ford demanded that
the ‘New Ford’ be a car for
the people—tow-priced, easy
to drive, easily serviced,
cheap to run, and last but not
least, strong and durable.

Ford at this time was able
to design and build and
entirely new car in a few
short months, which was an
accomplishment no other
car builder would attempt.

The new Model ‘A’ for
1928 was produced in time
for the fall auto shows in
1927, and they were to
astound the public and the
other motor manufacturers
by the drastic change from
the ‘T’.

The new Fords maintained
a few minor features similar
to the famous ‘T’ but the new

cars had a totally new
appearance: they were
longer, lower and _ wider,

which sound like modern
terminology.
