Children’s author to give presentations |

LOCAL CHILDREN’S author Sarah Eifis will give two special presenta-
tions to celebrate Canadian Children’s Book Week.

Ellis’ new juvenile nevel Next Door Neighbours was first runner-up faz
the recent City of Vancouver Book Award, and her picture book Putting
Up with Mitchell was third runner-up.

Both stories are set in Vancouver, and, typical of Eliis’ style, are a
biend of serious thinking and zany humor.

Ellis is a part-time librarian with North Vancouver District libraries.

Nov. 16at 1 asm. and at the Lyon Valley Library, 1280 E, 27th St, on
Friday, Nov. [7 at 10 a.m.

Her audiences wili be made up ef elementary school children, but
adults interested in children’s literature or creative writing are welcome to
attend.
