RUNNERS TOOK to West Vancouver streets Nov. {5 for the 15-kilometre Khahtsahlano road race. Started
in 1978 on a dare, the first race drew 322 people. In the past years, runners numbered in the thousands.
Named after a native leader, the race is expected to became one of the biggest in the country. Filled with hills

and rises, the road race finished at Marine Drive.
