Trial fixed
for personation

A 22-YEAR-OLD men of no fixed address uppeared in North
Vancouver provincial court Monday to face charges of persona-
tion, obstructing a police officer and possession of narcotics.

Darryl! Edward Werrun faces the charges of personation and
obstruction in connection with incidents alleged to have occurred in
Vanderhoof Aug. 30 to Sept. 4 in which he is alleged to have per-
sonated a living person and falsely misled police.

Werrun was further charged with possession of warcotics in
connection with an Oct. 11 veizure of marijuana.

Appearing before Judge J.K. Shaw, Werrun was remanded to
Nov.,3 (o fix a date for trial on the charges.

‘FWO LOWER Mainland men were given conditional discharges
after they pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of possession of
stolen property.

Marko Visona of Vancouver and Fernando Medeiros of Bur-
naby, both 18, were originally charged following a May 21 police
seizure of a 77 GMC van.

In addition to the conditional discharge, the (wo men were plac-
ed on probation for six months.

Assault charge

A 26-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was handed a suspended
sentence and placed on probation for two years Thursday after he
pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a weapon.

Bentley Edward Roy w*:s originally charged with one count of
assault with a weapon 3.” . ossession of a dangerous weapon in
connection with an April 27 incident in which he assaulted another
male with an axe handle.

Roy was sentenced in North Vancouver provincial court.

Two charged for
stoien smokes

NORTH VANCOUVER RCMP arrested two males as a2 result of a
complaint of stulen cigarettes from a North Yancouver super-
market.

Police said the men were arrested Oct. 21. They were in a vehicle
and found in possession of 12 cartons of cigarettes.

Charged are Alfred Eric Tomek, of Surrey, and Raymond
Richard Boyer, of Vancouver.

The two are to appear in court Nov. 24, charged with theft under
$1,000.
