in West Vancouver is sponsoring a
free Christian Science lecture at the
West Vancouver Secondary School
on September 6.

The title of the lecture, given by
Edwin G. Leever, C.S. of
Sacramento, California, is God’s
Promise: A Life Restored - Not
Ruined.

Leever is a member of the Chris-
tian Science Board of Lectureship.
His many years in the Christian
healing ministry have convinced
him of the practicality and depen-
dability of what he calls spiritual
prayer.

help that can rescue you from a
ruined life. No matter what seems
to have caused it, there is hope’’,
Leever says.

The lecture begins at 8 p.m.

ABOUT 600 people are expected
to attend Travel Showcase °86,
sponsored by Marlin Travel.

Manager Shamin Shariff, of
Marlin Travel’s Park Royal South
store, said this is the largest
showcase that the travel agency has
organized, bringing together about
17 suppliers and clients.

“Expo is over and now people
are planning for their fall and
winter holidays. We want to give
our clients and our repeat clients
first hand information on destina-
tion spots,”’ she said.

Shariff said the showcase will be
held at the International Plaza
Hotel’s ballroom Sept. 6 from 10
am.to4p.m.

She said the showcase has pro-
ven so popular that Marlin Travel
has ordered an extra 100 tickets to
be printed.

To obtain complimentary tickets
to Travel Showcase ‘86 Shariff
said an individual should visit
either Marlin Travel in the Park
Royal Mall or the agency at the
Lynn Valley Centre.

She said every hour door prizes
will be awarded. The grand prize is
a trip for two to any destination
within Canada.
