District residents turn
to West Van for help

' A group of North Van-
couver District residents are
turning to West Vancouver
Council to express their
concern about something
they feel may affect their
quality of life.

Avenue and Glenaire Drive,
are concerned about the
possible rezoning of the 303
Motel on Marine Drive —
barely in West Vancouver —
for conversion to a
restaurant,

They have also pointed
out that their area is already

many sports activities in
Klahanio Park.

They have made a written
submission to West Van-
couver District Council to
this effect, and "have also
sought help in the matter
from North Van_ District
Council.

District Council, aware
that a public hearing had
been held June 4 but had
been adjourned to June 18,
agreed to make written
representation to West Van
Council in support of the
North Van residents’
position
