association head

THE GREATER VANCCUVER
Fire Protection Association
(GVFPA) recently elected a North
Vancouver resident and former
West Vancouver Fire Department
assistant fire chief to the position
of association president for 1991.

A member of the GVFPA since
1973, Art Ridley has been involv-
ed with fire safety and prevention
through the Fire Prevention Of-
ficers Association of B.C. and the
International Association of Ar-
son Investigations B.C. chapter.

The GVFPA sponsors the fii
safety school, now in its 35th
year.
