Lifestyles non-alcoholic beverage
bar at Park Royal Shopping
Centre are preparing to open a
second alcohol-free (that’s without
alcohol, not alcohol free of
charge, me thirsty lads) bar this
August at the Park and Tilford
Centre shopping mall.

The new Lifestyles will be next
te the Park and Tilford Cineplex
Odeon in the store-front formerly
occupied by Oscarsson’s Bakery.

it will cater, in part, to the pre-
and nost-cinema crowd.

Featured in the Park and Tilford
Lifestyles will be the same wide
range of de-alcoholized beer, wine
and champagne offered at the
operation’s Park Royal tasting bar,
but the newer and larger Lifestyles
will also feature booth seating and
a fuil dining menu in a European
bar-style atmosphere.

Food will be light and quick
(soups, salads, pizza, quiches,
pastas, breads, pies and assorted
desserts) for the light and quick
theatre crowd, and it will be
prepared in high- tech convection
ovens.

Prices will hover in the $4 to $8
range.

Aside from the food, however,
Lifestyles will offer a bar at-
mosphere with a real difference:
no booze and no booze-related
restrictions on marketing food and

5 rescue of Canucks’ marketing
director Glen Ringdal and his
nephew from the chill waters of
Georgia Strait.

As reported in the June 9 News,
Schulte abandoned the Royal
Navy Sailing Association’s Van-
couver-to-Nanaimo single- handed
sailing race to fish the pair from
the strait.

Bought the next day, this was a
pleasant surprise — abundant,
predictably silky fruit, but with a
definite stiffener in the bottom
end.

Balanced tannins with a percep-
tible note of cedar make it a bit
unique among its similarly priced
brethren or sistren.
