back. Now I can be Marvel

pixies in a wannabe-3D
m.. realm, F4 is pretty standard

. stuff that would have looked
dazzling five or six years ago.
As itis, Acclaim
Entertainment — the wizards
who brought us Turok —
pumped out this little
ditty as if they had nothing
better to do. Cheesy, hoaky,
silly and sometimes fun, F4°s
over-the-top heroics and
hammed voice-overs are its
only saving graces. A nice
waste of time and good for a
- few chuckles, but we know

Acclaim could do better.
Good rental. Poor purchase.

Mischief Makers on the
Nintendo 64

I suppose Nintendo scared
even themselves with the vio-
lence of Goldeneye so back-
peddled by spitting out some
more of their usual kiddie
fluff.

Guide Marina the robot maid
through some cool action
sequences and a few puzzling
places, pick up treats along
the way. The point? I'm nor
quite

sure... However, Nintendo
excels at kiddie fluff and 1
was surprised to find Mischief
well, mischievously fun.
Another side-scroller, which
stems to use about a fourth
of the 64’s power, MM is
pretty generic stuff. However,
unique and fresh character
skills bump the game play up
a notch from the standard
fair of the genre. No pixies
ever begged Plumber Boy to
grab them and shake them
like there’s no :omorrow,
There

is something deviously adult
about that, burt it’s kiddie
fluff just the same. Ok rental.
