September 27 in a glittering
ceremony at St. Monica’s
Church, West Vancouver by
the Most Rev. Douglas W.
Hambidge, Archbishop of
New Westminster.

Assisted by the Rev. Allen
F. Crewe, chairman of the
Vancouver-Burrard Presby-
tery of the United Church,
the archbishop presided at a
sérvice attended by an over-
flow crowd reflecting the
ecumenical dimensions of

the parish. Also par-
ticipating were Msgr. J.E.
Brown, pastor of St. An-
thony’s Roman Catholic
Church, and the Rev. Dirk
Rinehart, director of the
Sorrento Centre for Human
Development, together with
many local clergy.

appointed assistant curate of
St. Monica’s, serving a two-
year internship under the
supervision of the rector, the
Rev. John M. Robertson.
