in stabbing

NORTH VANCOUVER
RCMP investigators are
checking into the lifestyle
and associates of a
Vancouver cab driver
stabbed to death in North
Vancouver on March 19.

“We have followed up

things we have heard about
his lifestyle. We've talked to

close friends of his. We've
spoken to his girlfriend and
his colleagues.” said Const.

Thursday.

Galliford said potice

ruled robbery as a murder

“And we certainly have
not ruled out other factors.”

David Jon Malloy, 44, of
Vancouver, was stabbed more
than 20 times, mostly in the
back, on March 17. He was
left in an alley in the 700-
block of West 20th Street.

Malloy’s wallet was taken
in the attack. Police believe

The blood-stained cab was
found a short time later near
Cordova and Dunlevy in
Vancouver's east side.
