David Jon Malloy, 44, of Vancouver, was stabbed more than 20 times, mostly in the back, on March 17. He was left in an alley in the 700- block of West 20th Street. Malloy’s wallet was taken in the attack. Police believe life Malloy’s assailant took eff in Matloy’s Yellow Cab taxi. The blood-stained cab was found a short time later near Cordova and Dunlevy in Vancouver's east side. A Yellow Cab spokesman said Malloy was working a 4 Sunday, April 14, 1996 — North Shore News ~ 11 exan p.m. to | avm, shift at the time he was attacked. Malloy, who had been a taxi driver for eight years, did not own the cab he was dri- ving. Police say Malloy picked up his last customer at 7:30 p.m. in Vancouver.
