Learn massage

LEARN MASSAGE basics at a
two-part workshop sponsored by
Eagle Harbour Community Cen-
tre.

The workshop, open to singles
and couples, will be held Saturday,
Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and
Saturday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to
noon.

The first session uses a hands-on
approach to massage. Participants
will learn techniques for relaxation
and tension release using a varicty
of massage techniques and basic
strokes. The second session will be
used as a follow-up class to review
various strokes and techniques.

Participants should bring two
pillows and some blankets, and
wear loose comfortable clothing.
Professional massage tables wil! be
available.

Instructor Richard Marlow has
pracused massage for 2% years.
He is a registered massage thera-
pist and experienced instructor. He
has also worked at the West Van-
couver Therapeutic Massage Cen-
tre at Park Royal.

wilderness experience on
Hollyburn Ridge.

The two-hour fully-guided
lesson and tour includes snowshoe
history, design and construction,

winter nature and wilderness in-
_ terpretation, and many photo op-
portunities.

The tour departs from Eagle
Harbour Centre, 5575 Marine Dr.,
West Vancouver, at 10:30 a.m.
Friday, Feb. 19 and returns at 4
p.m. A fee of $15 includes rental
and lesson, van transportation or
carpool, and lunch.
