Rowdymen sink Isles

Olympic Hotel Rowdymen
opened their 1985 western
bali hockey league playoffs
with a two game sweep of
the Richmond Istanders.

The Rowdymen, who
finished second overall in the
regular season, hammered
the fifth place Islanders 8-1
in game one of the best of
three quarter finals.

In the second game, the

Rowdymen prevailed 8-5.
The game was 2-2 at half
time. Scoring for the
Rowdymen were Rob
Beckner and Labatt’s player
of the game, Ear! Graham.
The second period was
wide open, with the
Rowdymen mounting an
overwhelming offensive
assault on the Islanders.
Tony McCusker had two
goals for the Rowdies.
