Composer John Hodgins, was -commissioned by the North Shore Chamber Music Society to write some music for the Paragon Singers, a small chamber choir spon- sored by the North Shore Society. The Four Psalm Settings were performed at the library's regular Tuesday evening performance together with madrigals, motets and some sing-along carols. A similar concert was repeated December 12 at St. Andrews United Church where instrumentalists Margaret Laws, harpsi- chord, Craig Tompkins. flute, and John Russell, viola, also performed. The Four Psalm Settings have been very well receiv- ed. The singers enjoy them and each part is well fitted to the voice.
