Ira Ostrom, aged 55, of Gordon, B.C., pleaded guilty to the offense which occured November 25, 1978. Crown counsel, Pat Donald, told the court, police s d Ostrom on the Trans Highway because of his crratic driving, and said that when tested, Ostrom showed blood alcohol levels of .18 and .19. Defense lawyer, Patrick Hood, told the court Ostrom had been drinking at Hor- seshoe Bay after finishing a voyage from Alaska. He said Ostrom suffered from. severe arthritic pain, and had been drinking to Stop it.
