FOR some of us, this is one of
the most difficult times of the
year.

The new lines of snowboard and ski
equipment are sparkling in the display
windows of sporting goods shops all over
the North Shore. Outerwear and techni-
cal gear hang trom the racks and stack
the shelves. Magazines and newspapers
are chock full of advertisements for
mountain passes for the season.

But a quick glance up the sides of our
local: mountains only recontirms what
winter sport enthusiasts already know.
They’re green. And the white stutf is still
a couple of months away.

Snow Show. The annual wintersport

is to feature Canada’s biggest vert ramp.

excitement of the best cinematographers
and filmmakers of mountain and adven-

The Pontiac GMC Snow Show takes
place at the Plaza of Nations Friday, Sept.
29 from 3 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Sepr. 30
from 10.a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct.
1 from 2) a.m. to 5 p.m.
