A resolution was passed June 25
to set the summer meeting sched-

ule as follows: July 9, July 23,
Aug. 13 and Aug. 27.

Regular weekly council meetings
are scheduled to resume on Sept.
10.

Daycamp
starts

THE NORTH Shore YMCA’s
Summer Davyeamp Program for
boys and yirls aged five to 12
years will run weekly from July 3
to Aug. 31. The daycamps run out
of both the West Van and North
Van YMCAs.

Summer Fun introduces five to
eight-year-olds ta summer camp in
a safe and non-threatening en-
vironment close to home.

Each week has been planned to
include a combination of sports,
trips, crafts, life skills and special
events.

Daycamps for nine to 12-year-
olds provide opportunties such as
hiking, overnight camping, out-
door hiking skills and sports.

Included in each week are cre-
ative crafts which will reflect the
theme of the week and out trips
such as the Tsawwassen
Waterslides, Science World,
Bowen Island and B.C. Place
Stadium.

The YMCA also encourages
person. with special needs to
become involved in our daycamp
program. For more information
