READERS’ QUESTIONS ANSWERED I've had a number of letters and calls about the recent Reno columns. Here's a sampling: QUESTION: What clubs, if any, are giving premium exhange on the Canadian dollar? ANSWER: The Cal-Neva_ club is exchanging Canadian money at 10%, but only one bill at a ame. For obvious reasons, hand them $100s instead of $20s. Although I don't approve of carrying large amounts of cash, you might consider it a worth- while risk in this’ case. I was told that the Sands and the Eldorado had similar ex- change rates but didn’t change money at either so can't confirm. QUESTION: You men- tioned a book by Harold Smith on gambting. I tried to find it at the library with no luck. Any idea where I can buy it? ANSWER: Not locally. Although my admiration for Mr. Smith has gone down the tube since meeting him, it doesn't reflect on his book. Try: The Little Professor Book Centre, Moana Centre, , 949 West Moana Lane. Reno, NV 89509 West Shopping And how do I know? Although Mr. Smith was too supenor to speak to me about Reno, he made sure that ] had a business card the minute | mentioned — his book!
