to a storage area at the back
of the service station.

There they tied him up on
the floor and one of the

coveralls and went off with
an 1800-pound floor safe
containing cash.

But while it was being
pushed west in the laneway,
one of its wheels came off
and the safe fell on its side.

At that point, the robbers
abandoned the safe and fled
to a waiting vehicle.
