which provides safe refuge for any
children or adults in distress.

“It’s aimed at children,” said
Doherty. *‘But anybody can utilize
it.”

The Lynn Valley Centre displays
will give information on the pro-
gram, which has been on the North
Shore for about 10 years.

Block Parents and a police of-
ficer will be on hand at the display
to answer questions about the pro-
gram.

And the program is set up so
that when the Block Parent is
away, the sign is removed from the
window so the child does net seek
help at an empty house.

Police advise children to use the
Block Parent home when alarmed
by strangers o: animals, when the
child or a friend is in an accident, —— 5 : cae
