During this time, over 80 per cent of Media Resources graduates have found media-related work within six months of graduation. Production courses in a variety of media — video, film-making, photography, audio, slide/tape and computer graphics -- plus related theoretical and technical courses are all part of the Media Resources Program. In celebration of the city’s cen- tennial, the informational program will examine the work of Van- couver’s architects from the foun- ding decades of the city to the building of Expo 86. One of the featured speakers will be Barry Downs, who designed the North Vancouver Civic Centre. Downs will discuss the influence of architects on Vancouver. Some of .':¢ other subjects to be covered include architecture, ac- tivism and design of cities in the ‘60's and ‘70's, architecture and urban trends, Vancouver's ar- chitectural future and the work of architect Arthur Erickson.
