election. Candidates Kroon, Ald. Hall, Ald. Blair and

and Tilford distillery site as a retail shopping complex -.

known as Park and Tilford Village. First propesed as a_

retail development that preserves and enhances the
~existing botanical gardens, these candidates have called

for adevelopment plan that would see ee part of the site re-
tained for light industrial use:

and Businesses Benefit

The gardens would once again attract tens of thou-
sands of tourists to our city each year. Local businesses
would benefit and residents would have nearby access to
a multi-screen cinema, a food store, and restaurants
overlooking the magnificent gardens.

The city would benefit with increased tax revenues on
the site, reducing the tax burden on other residents and
tenants in North Vancouver. But while thousands go
