How to find a job

JUDGING from the success
of a job-search workshop
held at North Vancouver
District Library last March,
there are a lot of people out
there trying to rejoin the
work force but unsure of how
to go about it. The program,

‘conducted by career-course

instructor Carol McCandless
from Capilano College, was
fully registered with a waiting
list.

This year, the library is ex-
panding the workshop into a
three-part mini-series, in

order to cover the topics in
more detail and satisfy more
people. Carol McCandless
will be joined by fellow-
instructor Andrea Kiss for
three Tuesday afternoons,
each session to deal with a
different aspect of job-
hunting.

Workshop One, Tuesday,
February 19 from 1 to 3:30
p.m., will cover writing a
resume. Participants are ask-
ed to bring a list of their
education, qualifications,
skills and work experience.
