March retail sales by
both BMW Canada
and Land Rover
Canada have con-
tributed to the BMW
Greup’s best first
quarter result in histo-
ry.

BMW Canada has record-
ed first quarter retail sales of
1,651 units — an increase of
20% over the same period
last year.

March sales results, which
were up 24% over last year,
were lcd by the remarkably
strong 3 Series which posted
an increase of 55% over
March of 1998, and 68%
year-to-date.

“It is obvious that the all-
new 3 Series sedans continue
to have a tremendous impact
on BMW Canada’s conunu-
ing success story,” said
Hendrik von Kuenheim,
' president and CEO of
BMW’s Canadian opera-
tions.
