She won the Lily Laskine Award from the Beaux Arts Concerts of New York for the mast outstanding solo harp concert. She has performed as solo har- } pist with the Vancouver Sym- phony Orchestra, CBC Vancouver Orchestra and the London Sin- fonia. Both she and her husband, vio- linist Victor Costanzi, are interest- ed in increasing audiences’ ap- Preciation of music. To that end they have established a Canadian chapter of the institute for the De- velopment of Intercultural Rela- tions Through the Arts. The organization brings together audiences from different cultures and takes them to different arts performances and festivals around the world. NVC Library hosts author Marion Crook B.C. WRITER Marion Crook will speak to Grade 6 and 7 students and adults at North Vancouver Ci- ty Library on Friday morning. Crook is a full-time writer and teaches creative writing at the elementary and secondary school level. A former public health nurse, she has published seven books of fiction set in B.C. and one non-fiction work. Much of her work deals with social issues affecting teens. After her book Teenagers Talk About Suicide appeared, she has worked in suicide prevention, giving sem- inars to professionals.
