are weighed and have their blood
pressure and pulse taken. If run-
ners lose 5 per cent of their body
weight, they are pulled from the
race temporarily. At 10 per cent,
the runner is out for good.

earned them the B.C. Labatt’s
Blue senior A women’s fastball ti-
tle and a berth in the national
championship in Brampton, On-

contributed. I phoned him after-
wards and told him, ‘We did it.’”

For their next caper, Collins and
Federico are planning a ren next
July on the Baden-Powell trail,
from Horseshoe Bay to Deep
Cove.
