umbia Apri! 8 to 10 for local Davis
Cup zone playoffs.

The winning doubles duo of
Connell and Toronto's Glenn
Michibata will team up to play for
top spot in the decisive and all-
important doubles showdown.

tennis in their lives because they're
playing for their countries,’' he
added. ‘‘It's not uncommon for a
player who is ranked near the 100
mark to beat someone ranked in
the top 20 or so.””

Play starts at 1 p.m. April 8 with
the singles matches. Doubles mat-
ches are noon April 9 and the re-
maining singles matches at 11 a.m.
April 10.
