Stages: HOaPRIT 6422 Bay, Horseshoe Series goes for Baroque THE WEST Vancouver Chamber Music Concert Series kicks off this weekend with the first of three concerts to be held at the West Vancouver United Church. Under music director Gerald Stanick, the series will feature A Baroque Concert Feb, 20. The Florestan Trio March 5 and Beethoven, Mozart and Others April 8. As weil as presenting the 8 p.m. concerts, organizers of the annual series are hoping to raise money to sponsor a music scholarship at the University of B.C. Now starting its sixth year, the series has grown with each per- formance, each time attracting larger and larger audiences, ex- plained John Leighton, music director for the Friends of Music Society, one of the series co-spon- sors. Following the chamber music concert is the Deep Cove Chamber Soloists playing Bach, Handel, Purcell and Telemann at the West Vancouver church Feb. 21.
