Clubs attending the meet came from Abbotsford, Haney, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Van- couver and Squamish as well as the local North Shore Marlins and Cruisers - the host club. Many swimmers obtained personal best umes and several obtained ‘‘A’’ times which now. qualifies them to compete in “A” meets with the fastest sum- mer swimmers in the Province. In the afternoon, the lead changed hands six times But after the final s national tea A NATIONAL Youth Team was selected from the long course Esso youth champion- ships, which were held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, last weekend. This National Team will represent Canada in the 1984 Scottish National Championships, July 25-28. Ninety-nine clubs and 581 athletes from across Canada were in attendance, all vying for 12 available spots on the National Tour.
