week.

The musical will be per-—

United Church, 5375 Univer-
sity Boulevard. In the
musical, Christ’s life is told
through the memories of St.
Mark..in musical numbers
which rang from j jazz, rock,

folk and opera.

“The show opens with an
explosive statement of
“Good News” sung by the
cast in a street scene. The
attitude of the crowd is, ‘un-
comfortably, one of satisfac-
tion for the crucifixion — it
rid them of this “Galilean
upstart” — the people are
celebrating Christ’s death!
The question arises “What
did -He do to be con-
demned?”, and when the
crowd seems unsure of the
answer, Mark comes for-
ward to offer an explanation
... the drama unfolds.
