(Terry Peters photo) IN WAKE OF REZONING CONTROVERSY Two North Vancouver City aldermen have requested a mass of in- formation on a developer who has applied for a rezoning application, in- cluding information on all the developer's holdings in North Van. Alderman Bill Sorenson made the request at last weeks’s meeting when he said he could not vote in favour of referring an ap- plication by the Desco Development and Building Corporation to rezone 1439 Mahon Avenue to a public hearing until he was given further information. Sorenson requested in- formation on the lot size, inside residential floor area of the proposed develop- ment, and the names of the owners, shareholders and affiliated shareholders in the company. He also requested an assurance by the City staff that all buildings owned by the company in the city are operated within City bylaws. Alderman Stella Jo Dean 332 Drake Vancouver 687-2526 said she was going to request the same information. Both Dean and Sorenson had been involved recently in a dispute with City staff over another rezoning application, which council rejected despite opposition by the two aldermen.
