ebruary 9, 1994 + ROTARY INTERNATIONAL The Rotary Club of North Vancouver is one of over 22,000 Rotary Clubs in the world. They exist in almost every country, and now even in China and ihe Commonwealth of Independent States (formerly the USSR). The objective of Rotary International is to encourage and foster service to the global community. In doing this. Clubs maintain the highest business and personal ethics. Our whole approach is summed up in the Rotary “4-Way Test" for everything we do or say: is it the truth? is it fair to all concerned? is it of benefit to all concerned? will it foster good will and understanding to all? In the North Vancouver Club, we recently heard of a critical shortage of sterile gloves for hospitals in Ethiopia. Operations were being cancelled or severely delaved because surgeons did not have sterile rubber gloves. We arranged to send a stock of gloves from North Vancouver to Addis Abbaba. Operations are now taking place again.
