SUTHERLAND ~ Effie M. (nee
Vickery), born June 6, 1916, passed
away on January 17, 1997 after a
Shost, couzageous battle following a
stroke. Effie és survived by her
daughters, Diana Somerville and
Betty Calkins; her sisters, Betty Kirk
and Cecily Reynolds; grandchileren,
Erin, Gillian, Blais and Robert; and
tmany nieces and nephews. Effie’s
family were early pioneers of West
Vancouver and Hollybusn Mountain.
She will be sadly missed by her
many friends from the Liberals, West
Vancouver Historical Society,
Capilano Winter Club, Hoflyburn

Housing. She was such an enthus-
