Ministry Review of Regionalization

Announced

The Minister of Health, Joy MacPhail,
recently announced plans to review
the regionalization process. While
the government remains committed
to the principles of New Directions,
the new Minister of Health wants to
familiarize herself with the initia-
tives that are currently underway,
and fully assess the implications of
regionalization before proceeding
any further. As result, the Ministry
has temporarily placed all regional-
ization activity on hold.
