4 ~ Wednesday, January 11, 1995 - North Shore News GV budget grows 8% GREATER) VANCOUVER Regional District directors recently approved a 1995 pro- visional budget of $323.7 mil- lion. - The budget represents an increase in expenditures of 5.8% over 1994 and will mean an increase of about $22 to the average. North Shore homeowner. While the budget, covers all GVRD services, the increase is almost solely attributed to major upgrading programs for water, sewer, and hospital construction: equipment. Of the $22 tax increase, which is based on a house with a 1994 assessed value of about $280,000, sewer programs will take $10, water programs $10. and hospital projects $2. ; The budget includes the $3.6 million Heritage Parkland Acquisition. Fund for the purchase - Of park sites and the 1995 debt charges on the $407.3 million regional capital construction pro- gram. a GVRD funds. are collected with municipal taxes, some of which are shown separately on the municipal bill.
