NORTH SHORE residents had the opportunity to participate in two fun-filled community events this
weekend with the Mount Seymour Lions King Neptune's Karnival at Cates Park and Horseshoe Bay Da
Horseshoe Bay. Both communities held parades. Local heauty queeas (above) wave from a boat float at the
King Neptune Karnival event. A piper (left) delights onlookers at the Horseshoe Bay parade. The Cates park
event ineluded a 10-kilometre land and sea race while the annual dogfish derby was held in Horseshoe Bay.
