In reporting on the program, Labour Minister Bob McClelland said: “With the cooperaton of Em- ployment and Immigration Minister Axworthy, we have been able to re-direct funds under existing agreements for this much-needed program.” : At present, projects are under way on the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island and in centres in Northern B.C. and the In- tenor. The program allows for the continuation of skills training in several critical trades affected by the current economic recession.
