Big wins for
soccer selects

Both the North Shore
Under 18 and Under 16
soccer teams started off on
the right foot last Thursday
when they each picked up
wins in their first games
against Richmond in Minoru
Park.

The under 18s picked up
goals by Mike Findlay and
Doug Jensen in the first half
then controlled the pace of
the game in their 2-0 win.

The Under 16s were

impressive in their 3-2 win
over Richmond.

A two goal by Ryan
Fromento highlighted the
game which came after only
two practice sessions as a
team.

Andy Holtzman scored the
winner with three minutes
left to play.

team officials, but they
stressed “excellent” effort by
all players.

Both teams will take on
Vancouver Island in their

Stadium on November 15.
