To celebrate the 1st anniversary, Ming Wo’'s second
3tore in Capilano Mail has a new name. It’s called
Ambience by Ming Wo and just like the word, this
wonderfui shop is full of everything you need to create
just the right ambience, the next time you entertain.

Although Ming Wo has a great reputation as a kitchen
shop it made sense toe Store Manager Lois McQuat to
expand into table fashions and accessories. This idea
that extended Ming Wo next door into store #2
turned out to be amazingly successful.

After all, what is the point of creating a fabulous meal
with all the cooking utensils available at Ming Wo if
you don’t have what you need to set your table and
present that meal in the best light?

Lois has worked for Ming Wo for over 20 years and
knows her stuff. Whether its merchandising,
purchasing the right products, eye catching displays or
training staff with a priority for customer service, Lois
is focused on creating the best retail environment
possible.

Her invaluable instincts turned cut to be a recipe for
success. Since Ambience opened it’s doors last winter,
sales volumes have exceeded expectations.

Part af the reason for the stores’ success is the way
the merchandise is displayed. There are sets of
dinnerware sitting together with table linens, candles,
stemware and cutlery as if your own personal
decorator put everything together for you. In many
cases Ambience does that, all you have to do is make
up your mind and take it home.

Not only is the merchandise beautiful and
competitively priced, its fashionable as well.

Ambience sells home made scented soaps & toiletries
from a Sunshine Coast supplier: tea cozies and
co-ordinated accessories handmade in Victoria from
English fabric; Pfatzgraff and Portmerion tableware &
giftware; Belfor crystal, candles, wicker to name a but
