The playground will be constructed this Bur merch summer complete with naturai play ele- ments like boulders, hide and seek bushes, and subtie play equipment with natural wood finishes. The improvements will add access for the disabled to the water's edge, accessible picnic tables and play elements. In March of this year the Outreach for the Beach taskforce set out to raise an addition- al $25,000 to complete the project at the popular West Vancouver beach. The District Salvation Army Blue-Bag-lt Campaign Back at Park Royal From July 31 to August 31, North Shore residents will be able to bring used clothing to Park Royal for the Salvation Army Blue-Bag-lt program. Most peo- ple recognize the importance of recycling plastic, glass, paper and metal but rarely is as much thought given to old clothes. By returning clothing donations in the Biue Bag provided in the North Shore News on July 28 you will be helping the Salvation Army recy- cle used clothes and raise funds for valuable commu- nity services such as providing food, shelter, clothing, and rehabilitation opportunities. Park Royal hosts successful Charity Bazaar Over $14,000 was raised this May during the Park Royal Charity Bazaar. Seventeen locai non profit groups sold handcrafted items, curios and recycled goods during the two-day event to raise funds for their causes.
