Judy Holden will hold
an exhibit and show at
the Dundarave Cafe at
2427 Marine Drive in
West Vancouver from
May 3 to 31.

A portion of sales will go
to BC Cancer’s research pro-
grams. On May 14, cafe
owner John Wiechold will
host a wine and cheese recep-
tion from 4 to 6 p.m. to cel-
ebrate the opening.

Holden, who was diag-

nosed with cancer in 1991,

has lived, studied and exhib-
ited her watercolors around
the world. “I was given the
best advice,” she says. “Live

what you choose, not what
you should do, nor what you

The artist is not the only
one in her farmily who has
experienced cancer. Her
father died of lung cancer
and her sister-in-law has been
diagnosed with breast cancer.
“It is my concern for her and
all the women that must con-
tend with this all too com-
mon disease that I have cho-
sen to donate to cancer
research,” Holden says.
