Chamber he North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Education Commitice (NVCCEC) is a liaison group for business and ectucators on the North Shore that is working towards increasing its profile in the community. NVCCEC is associated with last year's successful North Shore career fair held for high school students. The Creer Development Advisory Committee recently produced a video on partnership between business and educator which will be available soon, said Parker. Another subcom- mittee is workin towards establishing a career centre on the North Shore. The task-force subcommittee would like to estab- lish a community- career centre where people can come to find out what resources are in thé community for career planning, career inves- tigation and career advice, said Parker. The centre is aimed at increas- ing relevant career learning expe- riences Jor students and to build a communication network between the community and schools, she added.
